Bernard Matthews Diversity Training Course was set up specifically for their existing workforce in their factories, which is designed to develop a sense of empathy and understanding for those temporary workers joining the business during peak Christmas period. The programme was designed to deal with a specific challenge that the business faces and do it positively. Alongside performing routine practices, they have proudly developed a fully comprehensive and interactive training programme for their entire factory workforce, which has had an enormously positive reaction and has set an agenda for the future. Out of a poll from over 400 employees across both of their factory sites who had taken part in the course, 90% of employees agreed the course had been time well spent. Further to this, 92% of the poll agreed that the course would help to improve their performance in the workplace. This Diversity Training Course is the first of its kind in their industry and uses true life examples to help staff learn to respect one another.
