Incorporating the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers
Being inclusive makes business sense. But until now it has been hard to identify the best employers when it comes to diversity, equality and inclusion.
Mental health and wellbeing charity Touchstone has been ranked No. 1 in The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List 2016 in recognition of its continued dedication to workplace diversity.
This long-awaited league table of the most inclusive employers in the UK finally shines a light on best practice across all strands of diversity – age, disability, gender, LGBT, race, faith and religion.
So why is this so important? Well, research shows that more diverse organisations perform better and they are also better places to work. However, until now it has been very difficult to identify which organisations put inclusivity at the heart of their business.
Powered by The Excellence in Diversity Awards, The Inclusive Top 50 Employers is a definitive list focusing on representation at management, senior, executive and board level, as well as inclusive cultures at work and within communities.
Complied by a dedicated panel of diversity and industry leaders, the list has been collated based on each organisations performance on a range of areas within the diversity arena.
Submissions for 2017 will open in conjunction with The Excellence in Diversity Awards on November 01st 2016, a ceremony honouring inclusive employers across charity, education, housing, public and private sectors.
This year’s ceremony saw the likes of Allianz Insurance, L&Q, Dell, Transport for London and Manchester Metropolitan University recognised for their exceptional achievements in diversity and inclusion.
With the increasing richness of diversity in Britain, the Excellence in Diversity Awards recognise employers that unite workforces and challenge discrimination, applauding those for their fight against inequality.
Paul Sesay, Founder of the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers said ‘This year we have decided to open nominations for the Excellence in Diversity Awards in conjunction with submissions for the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List’.
Sesay continued ‘This will ensure a spectrum of inclusive employers are featured, highlighting best practices in workforce diversity. There is a crucial need to promote these practices and the organisations carrying out pioneering work in this field’.
High ranking organisations will receive the Inclusive Top 50 accolade: split into charity, education, housing, public and private sectors. The unveiling of the list will take place at The Excellence in Diversity Awards ceremony.
Organisations featured in the rankings will have to provide sufficient evidence of their inclusivity practices in areas such as recruitment procedures, training and a host of diversity-related initiatives.
The Excellence in Diversity Awards also rewards Outstanding Diversity Networks, Employees of the Year, Marketing Campaigns, Heads of D&I, Diversity Champions and Lifetime Achievers.
With the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers revealing a wide range of outstanding submissions, 2017 is sure to deliver a host new and exciting organisations attracting and retaining diverse talent across the UK.
