With a background in leading large, transactional HR teams, Emma has been involved in Equality and Diversity work for the whole of her career and is currently responsible for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. Emma has shown clear commitment to ensuring NHS services and employment opportunities are accessible to all, and uses her role as a staff governor to share people’s experiences of the organisation with a wider audience. 63% of women are employed in senior roles by the trust and they have a 50/50 split on the board which is phenomenal. Emma has been instrumental in The Disability Confident Employer and Lancashire LGBT Quality Mark accreditations and has worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to raise the profile of D&I in her NHS Trust, putting individual experiences at the heart of the strategy. Her achievement of securing over 100 Diversity Champions is testament to her drive, positive engagement and infectious passion for her role.
